    Gibson is quite a poet… so much that in one story, he goes into describing the flecks of rust that collect in the puddles of a car’s bumper.

    What he lacks, that I find in your style, is the propensity to get off your ass, stop looking like a tourist, and cut forward with purpose. It gives things a modern, urban feel. I’m not working from a large sample yet, mind you, but you have a more smash mouth pace of moving dialog, by comparison. It spells out the action plainly, keeping the reader engaged, rather than getting lost into flowery diversions.
